PLASTIC

For this time entry, I would like to share with u guys the harmful of plastic in our daily life.

I am sure that most of us knew  about it, but what do we do??

First of all, let me tell what is actually plastic:

- The term 'plastic' derives from the Greek 'plastikos', meaning fit for molding, and 'plastos', meaning molded

- Plastics are synthetic materials created by linking together into polymers 

- plastics contain various chemical additives to facilitate the manufacturing process or produce a particular desirable property

Actually, Plastic is all around us. It can be in our clothing, eyeglasses, teeth, toothbrush, computers, phones, dishes, utensils, toys.  The list goes on.

but the widespread use of plastic is also causing unprecedented environmental problems, and harbours serious health risks  – especially for children.

Here are some of the harmful effects of plastic bags:

Plastic bags litter the landscape.

 Once they are used, most plastic bags go into landfill, or rubbish tips

Plastic bags kill animals. 

About 100,000 animals such as dolphins, turtles whales, penguins are killed every year due to plastic bags

Plastic bags are non-biodegradable.

The decomposition of plastic bags takes about 1000 years.

Petroleum is required to produce plastic bags.

So, What Can be Done about the Use of Plastic Bags?

 if we have the will, we can start reducing their use in small ways like:

1) A tote bag can make a good substitute for holding the shopping instead of plastic.

2) Recycling the plastic bags,  like holding your garbage

                                 Great Leader are not Born, They are Made

What do you think about the statement above??

There a a lots in ur mind right?

Well, in our own view, that’s true that great leader are made. Why ??

Because..

The truth is the most people have the potential to become leaders. The real  issue is that leadership takes time to develop…

§  People need time to figure out what they’re passionate about

§  People need time to understand their personal vision and purpose

§  People need time to learn how to express who they

§  People need time to learn how to use their unique strengths and skills

§  People need time to learn how to express their purpose in their own unique way.

So,are leaders born or made? They are made!

 One more, if you are working with and through others to achieve objectives, you are already a leader.....:)

i was born as the eldest sister in the siblings. and for sure, i had already seen too much character in my family. 


as the eldest, i am only agree with some part of the characters that those psychologists claimed before. they claimed that the eldest siblings  tend to be responsible, perfectionist, mature, a good leader, have higher IQ and low self esteem. 


tend to be responsible is such a big character. for me, sometimes i am such a responsible person such as when it comes about my family and my beloved one. i want the best for them and i am willing to sacrifice all of that i had to make them happier. like taking this chemical engineering things, it is not the one that i really want to do but my parents really want to see me as an engineer. i have choices and it is independent for me  to choose what i want to be. but seeing my  parents to be happy and feeling relieved as i have the future is such a big responsibility. 


being mature also is another option. seriously, i confessed that i can be immature sometimes especially when i am with my parents and my best friends. but when i must make decision, i be mature automatically.  


that is my opinion. how about you ?

                                                   PineApple Corn Salad

we need :

• 1 (12 ounce) can corn
• 1 (14 ounce) can crushed pineapple
• 1/4 cup mayonnaise

How to make it:

Prep Time: 10 mins

Total Time: 10 mins

1. 1 ) Drain the corn and pineapple real well.
2. 2 ) Add the mayonnaise.

easy right? just need 10 minute to make this delicious salad. just perfect for person that busy and don't have so much time for preparing a meal..;)

one more, it is good for our diet...why would we say that?
corn is :
- a heart protector
- a cancer fighter
- prevent anaemia
- clean the digestive system

corn also good for brain and eyes...:)

If I have the power to rule the world, I would...

If I have the power to rule the world, I will like to use those mighty power to ask PBB to decrease the veto power of United States of America. 


why I ask that? I hate seeing my own brothers and sisters in Islam being discriminate in their own country. just see the example in Iraq and Afghanistan. they rule their own country but they never have the power to make their own decision for the country. their economy decrease due to the country that have the veto power control the flow.


besides that, all of the leaders that use the money belongs to the citizen must released their power and give back those money that they have been used to the people. or else the world is not in peace anymore. just see the example in Tunisia and Egypt. they faced a big difficulties as the citizens start a revolution to make the prime minister release the power and stop using the money for their own sake. 

My Educational Aspiration for 2011

choose to study in chemical engineering field is the bravest decision i have ever made. this engineering field is commonly known as the toughest field among others. even though entering this lovely campus is much easier compare to others, but much people do not even understand how tough and difficult the course.


as it is not easier to score in this course, let us talk something that may can be our educational aspiration for 2011. 


actually, aspirations is definitely different from inspirations. aspirations is our hopes and expectation. 

for this year, we learn from mistakes that had been done before. the result for the first semester is not  best enough. the truth is we can get better than what we got before but the efforts that we gave was not the best. so, we hope that in this very 2011, we want to put much efforts and hard works to our study. seeing the other friends from the foundation level getting dean list easily, make us have some envious to them. 


besides that, we also hope we can find the answers why we study here and why we choose to be here. what a difficult task for this 2011. 

but hoping and put too much aspiration is not a good way to success. hopes is okay but working on our hopes is much better.
